Greenville, SC will capture your heart. It's hard to describe our beautiful Greenville in a few words. For athletes, Greenville is the perfect place to be active. We have the perfect triathlon training playground, especially when it comes to cycling.  
We can't wait for you to see why we love training in Greenville, SC and how it will help you become a more well-rounded triathlete. 

The focus of this endurance camp is to overload your body with intentional training stress. By training with others, you’ll bring out the best in yourself. We will challenge you mentally and physically. With an endurance theme to this early summer camp, expect to cover a lot of miles over 4.5 days. We will guide you through several challenging workouts to ensure you are training smart, using correct skills, maintaining good form and absorbing stress properly. Ideally, this camp will work great with an early season Ironman. Athletes who attend our camp should be extremely fit, healthy and strong, with great bike handling skills for climbing and descending. 

With an endurance theme to this late-summer camp, expect to train a lot and to learn a lot. We will combine training stress with education to ensure you are training smart and absorbing stress properly as you gear up for your early to late season endurance event(s). This camp will give you a good amount of training to feel fit and ready for your upcoming event and we will raise your confidence as we put you through workouts that require skills, technique, form, pacing, sport nutrition and mental strength. In a safe way, we will stretch your comfort zone to help you discover your true capabilities.

Our camp offers full SAG support, all-day access to three experienced triathlon coaches, well-mapped training routes, guidelines for sport nutrition for every workout, indoor pool and open water lake swimming, hilly bike courses (rollers and mountains), hill and trail running and lots of time on your bike. 
We invite you to take advantage of this group training environment where you will feel challenged and confident. Leave your normal stressors of life behind you as you train, eat, relax, sleep and have a lot of fun at the 2019 Trimarni Greenville advanced endurance camp.  

You will need at least 5 days to recover from this camp, so be sure to plan accordingly with your racing schedule.

                                           Swamp Rabbit Lodge

Socialize, eat, relax and connect with your fellow campers at the Swamp Rabbit Lodge. Just a short drive to downtown Traveler's Rest and adjacent to Furman University, campers will enjoy this “home base” throughout the 4.5 day camp.  

There’s a big kitchen (with plenty of counter space), several Kuerig machines for morning (and post-workout) coffee consumption, ample space to spread out and relax, a few TVS, free WiFi, a grill and a basement.

Talk about the perfect place for camp! 
Lodging is included in your camp fee. You are not required to stay in the lodge throughout camp.

When should I plan to arrive/depart?

We suggest to book your travel so that you arrive by late afternoon on Wednesday June 26th, 2019. We suggest to depart on Sunday late evening (June 30th) or Monday morning July 1st. The camp house is booked June 26th-July 1st
Check-in is at 4pm on the 26th and check-out is 10am on the 1st

Are meals included in my camp payment?

Campers will provide and share groceries in the team house. For our past camps, one person was the designated grocery "buyer" and then the total costs were divided among those staying in the house. Seeing that our campers eat similar snacks/meals, sharing food cuts down on the cost of food and makes eating time a much more fun experience.
The local grocery store (Publix) is less than 10 minutes away. There is also a Super Wal-Mart close by and a Farmers Market (Tomato Vine).
There are several restaurants in downtown Traveler’s Rest.

Do you cater to dietary restrictions?

Absolutely. Just let us know your food allergies/intolerances and we will be sure to find you a replacement option for our team dinner and for any snacks that are provided during workouts.

How should I get my bike to camp?

If you are not planning to drive with your bike, we suggest to either fly with your bike or use Bike Flights to ship your bike. If you are considering using Bike Flights, please contact us.
If you are flying with your bike (or shipping your bike), you do not need to bring your bike pump as we will have plenty available.

Do I need to bring a wetsuit? 

Nope. The lake water will be comfortable for our open water swim.

I'm nervous about your terrain, I heard it is hilly!

Yes, our terrain is challenging, specifically for cycling. If our terrain worries you, this camp may not be ideal for you. 
We will never put our athletes on terrain that is unsafe and we select routes that will cater to all athletes at our camp.

What's the difference between the Skills camp and the Endurance camp?

Both camps are geared for triathletes and we expect you to bring great fitness to camp. However, the training load at the endurance camp is significantly greater than our skills camp. While it is ok if you are not a strong swimmer or runner, both camps are very cycling focused. At our endurance camp, we expect you to be able to ride for 4+ hours on very hill terrain and to be able to bounce back quickly from longer/intense training sessions. Because this camp is early summer, we ask that you arrive fit, strong and healthy with several months of consistent training behind you. We hope that the endurance camp boosts your fitness and confidence before your mid to late season half or full distance Ironman. This camp will be challenging and will stretch your comfort zone. Reach out to us to see if the endurance camp is the right fit. 

What if I get injured before the camp but I’ve already registered?

Please review our cancellation policy ahead of time in the case of an injury. We will treat injuries and sicknesses on a case by case basis in the case of a full refund. We do not advise that you come to this camp with an injury or if you are just getting over an injury or sickness. We need you to arrive to this camp feeling healthy, rested and fit.
