Despite the complexity of the human body and the overwhelming amount of information available on “healthy eating”, my philosophy for nutrition is simple. Make time for a nutrient-dense, balanced diet and emphasize real food for fuel and for optimal health.
As a clinical, licensed dietitian who specializes in fueling a body in motion, I have a great understanding of the physiology of the body and that allows me to treat athletes and fitness enthusiasts as individuals. I do not believe in “bad” foods, meal plans or spending my energy discussing the best current trend to reach optimal health and to maximize performance. My goal is to help individuals develop a healthy relationship with food and the body and to eat for fuel and for health. I am passionate about helping others reduce the risk for disease and illness and to cross finish lines.
I believe that in order to meet personal body composition and fitness goals, it is important to maintain a balanced lifestyle as you make small changes for long-lasting results. If you keep doing the same things in life, expect the same results. Change too much too soon, you will never find balance for a lifestyle of health and happiness.
